I took the SAT twice- the first time I received a 2090. Then I took a class and studied and somehow managed to pull off a lower score - 2060. Would taking the SAT a 3rd time be detrimental to my transcript?

if ur not happy with ur score take em as many times as you can or till you get ur desired score. my cuzion took em 9 times before he got his desired score. his GPA was 3.9 outta 4.0 ok and he wanted his SAT scores to be around 1700 and he got that score one week before graduation. he got 1695 outta 1800. he got in to Yale

Taking the SATs again usually helps by about 50 points. You can request that your higher score be reported to colleges. You should take it again. If you are science oriented you should take the ACTs. They usually show better for science students. I do interviews for an Ivy League college. They have a formula where your average your SATs and your class rank are used to determine a ranking. Then the other factors are used to choose between persons of the same rank number. The other factors include all that stuff you write on your app and interviews and letters of recommendation. It does not look bad when you take the tests again.

Junior 3 hundred and sixty 5 days is what concerns. attempt the two SATs and ACTs to extend your opportunities of a better score. I did terrible on my SATs and almost suitable on ACTs. you won't be in a position to truly do a lot different than that. suitable colleges won't examine out a GPAs that don't initiate with 4's. State universities or community colleges will examine out you.

I took the SAT twice and the ACT three times and got into a top 5 school. They also interviewed me and they never asked me why I took it so many times.

I think so.. especially if you are going down after studying ..twice is good because you re giving yourself enough chances to do better.. too many looks like your depending on your SATs to get you into college
