Sometimes the fact it's an FL test makes it a bit trickier, since some questions are deliberately aimed at 'nitpicking'. In general, a foreign speaker will be looked under the microscope, and mistakes (both in grammar or pronunciation) that would be overlooked in a native one, would be magnified in this case.
Now, TOEFL involves a lot of grammar and some questions that require at least certain level of academic reasoning and communication fluency. For many people (both native and foreign) it'd be a piece of cake; for many people (both native and foreign) it'd be very tough.
Indeed, many native speakers of any language (be it English, French, Japanese, Spanish, etc) make enough stylistic, spelling or grammar mistakes to fail a test like this one or an equivalent. But also, many foreign speakers are acquainted enough with formal and academic English to find it as easy as a walk in the park.

scores above a hundred are somewhat staggering (MIT recommends above a hundred).. and that is much less puzzling to get it than you will think of.. Tip: in case you're taking the SAT Reasoning try, and you're taking it until eventually now the TOEFL try, you will experience that it's not something while in comparison with the SAT try, so do no longer difficulty plenty.. I took the two SAT and TOEFL assessments, I easily have been given a 108 in TOEFL even in spite of the shown fact that I felt that I did relatively undesirable, and that i've got been given a 1710 interior the SAT try even in spite of the shown fact that i assumed I deserved greater.. so do no longer difficulty, TOEFL could be seen the LEAST of your concerns ;)

It depends on the person.
If you have been in an 'english medium' program in high school or college, or if you are capable of speaking, understanding, reading and writing english at a high schooler's level,it's going to be easy.
