thats fairly low (sorry) so i would recommend both that you start prepping about 3-4 months at least before your test date and that you get a tutor

If you can afford it, an SAT prep class would be good. Many of my friends took it in the summer, and then took the test in the fall. I took the class in the fall/winter of my junior year, and took the test in March.

Getting flash cards for vocabulary words is an easy way to get a head start now; just go over them in your spare time. Also, there are plenty of practice tests online and in books you can buy if prep classes aren't really an option for you.

Prep DEFINITELY helps on these things. The majority of the SAT is just knowing the kinds of questions you'll see and how to deal with them.

If you're looking at prep classes, I'd recommend princeton review. I wound up with a 2240, and a lot of that had to do with the professional help I got.

Good luck, remember SAT's aren't the end of the world ;)

you comprehend that old asserting "that's by no ability too previous due"? nicely thus, that's incorrect. i'm a freshman and that i have been examining for the SAT's seeing that eighth grade. it isn't a nasty situation to get a bounce commence on your SAT preperation. it can help you interior the lengthy time period, in accordance with what you want to do such as your existence, i'd say commence watching some books, per chance take a prepare attempt each 6 weeks. Do besides the reality that you imagine will be functional you. sturdy success.

I started studying at the start of my jr year. I did not take any prep class. I just got a study book and found a practice test online.
