Generally...no. You can bring it up if it's an assignment, but if it's the final grade you probably have to retake it. Some high schools consider it passing, but others don't and most colleges make you retake a D class. Check the policy at your school to find out for sure.

Hope this helps.

HONEY,

It depends on you as a person, and I hope you don't consider a D as passing, even if your school states it is.

Try your best if you are talking about yourself, and ask for help.

Don't settle for whatever, and If a D is the best you can do for now.............make small changes, to where next time its a C, and next time its a B, and so on,

What I do understand, is that some kids, and adults can only do so much no matter what is done, but you have to ask yourself, ................Did i try my hardest.

A D was failing in Highschool, most importantly a D meant failing to at home, but it came with lots of encouragement.(after the scorn, of course)....so it became failing to me, but that s only because I knew i could do better, and at one time, i didn't want to............I had to change that really fast.

A d- is a failing grade even in college. You have to retake the course.

However if it is only a single test or assignment grade it can be brought up
