I took my ACT for the first time and scored as followed

English: 21
Math: 23
Reading: 19
Science: 21
Writing: 8
Composite: 21

As a Junior this year, my GPA is a 3.0. I live in Michigan and plan to attend colleges such as Michigan State, Central University, Western University, and Oakland University. I am currently enrolled with 1 AP class, and next year I am taking AP Euro History, Acc. Precalc, and Adv. Design/Engineer.

Should I retake the ACT? Are my scores good? Thank you for your time.

You need to retake it if you want to make it easier to get into those schools. I know that that score and GPA definitely won't cut it for Michigan State. I don't know much about the other schools, but you definitely need to retake the ACT and work on your GPA if you want to get in.

No your scores are not good. Especially since you have a 3.0. Drop the AP Euro and take an honors english or AP english literature or language. Your reading/English scores are very low. You are not going to survive in college if you can't read well and quick and be able to kick out an essay fast. No matter what your major is going to be in college, you are going to be writing a LOT of papers.

Yes retake the exam. get some help. study guides, study with other students. see if there are any ACT classes around. Our HS and public library had them at a low cost.

properly, the GPA is nice for any college, yet once you pick for, i might propose retaking the ACT. yet you somewhat shouldn't concentration on the writing at this component. colleges basically overlook approximately it for now. besides, the ACT or SATs do not likely ensure whether or not you're good for a school, you in addition to might might desire to concentration on conserving the GPA up and additionally your activies outdoors the college room will ensure whether or not you get ordinary. The tests do not tell the completed tale because of the fact the smart youngster ought to flunk mutually as the class clown can get a proper score. So evaluate all of those components too. And if Texas Tech dosen't settle for you, prepare to different colleges abd evaluate those besides. in case you would be a instructor, then there are various community colleges that have classes for instructors. community colleges do not even look at SAT scores etc. so evaluate each course to being a instructor.

Definitly retake it. Especially if you're into engeneering, you'll need a higher math score, and science too. My personal recommendation, is to just seek help with math, and english, since they are the easiest, and then practice reading and science during the time you have left. I studied just for math, got a 35, which brought my overall score very high.
