Can I get a 4 or a 5 on the A.P. U.S. exam without taking an A.P. class?

I am a junior in high school and I have done the best in my history class for the past 2 years, but am not allowed to be in the A.P. U.S. history class because I was not in it last year.

I got a 5 on the AP US History exam after taking regular history, but I got a 5 on all my exams.



AP History conflicted with Calc 2, so I had to take regular history.
