I'm hoping that you understand that TB is short for Tuberculosis.
Two types of skin tests are currently available in the U.S; the recommended Mantoux skin test, which uses a needle to place a standard dose of tuberculin just under the surface of the skin and the multi puncture or "tine" test uses multiple tines (pins) dipped in tuberculin.
The TB skin test is usually performed by injecting a small amount of tuberculin under the superficial layers of the skin. The test is then read by a trained individual 48 to 72 hours later. A positive skin test results in a raised bump (induration) at the point of administration.

It is a scratch test of sorts, where they inject some of the germs under the the skin and then in three days they want to see the area to be sure that you are not positive. They will measure the area and that is how they tell if your positive or not. It's a very simple test. I have had them before and they do not hurt at all. After they inject the area, do not scratch the area other wise it will cause it to swell and you may need a chest x-ray to prove you are not positive.
BTW: They use one needle to do this with, there isn't multiply needles used. It is just one that is used. They can use a regular syringe to do this with. Your doctor can give it to you.

Tuberculosis test- to make sure you don't have it.
"The tuberculosis skin test (also known as the tuberculin or PPD test) is a test used to determine if someone has developed an immune response to the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB)."

Your employer will give you directions as to where you should go. A nurse at the Health Department will scratch your arm. If your arm turns red after a week, you have tuberculosis. They will need to have you come back for inspection.

the last one I had was this push-pin kind of thing, I closed my eyes, they jammed it into my arm and that was the TB test. If it puffed up, ya had TB.

a test for tuberculosis.
you'll have to go to a Doctor, they'll give you a shot, and then you'll have to go back in a few days for them to look at it.
