So this is a question for anyone who does essay subjects such as History, RE, Philosophy, Sociology etc...
In the exam, you'll be aware you receive a question paper with all the questions in it and a separate 12 page answer booklet to write your answers to the questions in.

Even though I am an A-Level (AS not A2) student, today in my exam, I read the front of the Answer Booklet and realised it said I must leave two lines space between each answer. I've not done this for any of my exams so far.

What happens if i don't leave 2 lines between each answer in my answer booklet?
Do my answers get cut off? If so, can the examiner that marks them know which question i am answering, as I'm presuming that the question number will be cut off along with the first line of answer?

Has anyone ever experienced this and had any difficulties? Or were you fine? Are any of you even aware of this rule.

(NB: This applies to AQA more than any other exam board

I did this in my AS sociology exam in January.

I left the lines, but realised I forgot my conclusion and I had to squish it on the end and take up the lines.

It's not a problem. The gaps make it easier for the examiners to see where one question ends and another starts much easier, but it will still be read and marked correctly :)

I've just done my GCSE English Lit paper, and I made a pretty similar mistake: I left only one line between the two answers I had to do for the paper, because I filled my initial gap between the answers with a plan for the second one. I did draw a dotted line to sort of divide and highlight the fact they were different answers, but I was still pretty paranoid this would be penalised :P

After having a look at some AQA pdfs and documents, I don't think it's really such a bad crime in the eyes of AQA. 'It would be helpful to leave two spaces' in the words of the Areas for Improvement pdf. As such, as long as you've put the question number on the paper for each corresponding answer, and make it quite clear that there is a change of answer, you should be fine. It's simply a measure to make marking the papers an easier job, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. They are likely copied manually, and marked manually too, so the gaps between the answers will be noticed and copied accordingly.

I had question 2 no longer My company and in comparison it with seek for my Tongue. I seen doing supplies from my Aunts in Pakistan... according to possibility I would desire to have extremely. there replaced into actual lots approximately conflict. and that i defined a vehicle journey. Did all of us else do it in first individual attitude? because of the fact I did it in 2nd individual attitude ie. "You" - that could have been somewhat weird and wonderful, yet I nevertheless defined a brilliant variety of issues, so optimistically that'll be high-quality..
