Hello, I am currently studying for the ACT test and I have purchased a lot of prep books with paper tests. Although I discovered that the ACT is only available online now. Is that true? ACT website says it depends on the state or district. How can I find out which version of the test my area administers? Also has anyone taken the ACT test on the computer. If so do you like it better than with paper and pencil. Also were you given scrap paper for the mathematics section?

if it's on a computer, it would still be taken at a test site. not on your home, personal computer. it would be specialized with limited to no access so you wouldn't cheat.

i've taken tests on the computer before, they just do it that way to not have trouble with reading handwriting, don't lose tests or papers, and quicker grading. i would be surprised if they still use paper and pencil.

you maybe able still ask for paper and pencil when doing math or other subjects to write down notes or solve problems.

if you're in school, just ask a counselor, they can help with this more too.
