My 8th grade daughter just got her SSAT results and they seem pretty good.
Verbal-800, Math-740, Reading-755 for a total 0f 2295. Her percentiles are Verbal-99%, Math 98%, and Reading-98%. She got in to the school she wanted and they offered her aid and private scholarships for 1/2 of the tuition. Problem is, I cannot affford the entire remaining balance. Do you think those scores are good enough for them to rreconsider more aid? If we turn them down for financial reasons, are they likely to work with us due to her good scores?

Not at all, they are extremely impressive scores, however the school may be looking more at Cass rank and vigor of courses, since the SAT does not control the entire college application process

SSAT scores are great, but schools look at the overall application as well as a student's financial situation to determine aid given. Therefore the amount offered is what you have to work with. You must find a way to work around it- otherwise send your daughter to public school.

If you have a large house, fancy car, or lots of savings, that would've hurt your daughter in terms of financial aid. That's probably why it seems a little low.
