Well there are sooooo many tests out there that it will be impossible to make a generalization for all of them. As for the ACT and SAT you can use most of the graping calculators minus any that are TI-89 or above. Also the TI-83+ is a graphing calculator is pretty much the same as the TI-83 it just has a few extra statistics functions. Just make sure you take a calculator that has a number below 89. I took the TI-86 for both the SAT and ACT.

Both the ACT and SAT allow the TI-83+. I took both tests.

It doesn't matter because it's just a calculator that performs only up to Algebra 2 (which is the maximum it tests). All graphing calculators are allowed. The only calculators which aren't allowed are things that are handheld dictionaries, and other ones that do anything other than do calculations.
