Question:
Does horrible ACT and good SAT ruin my chances?

I got 1820 on SAT and 21 on ACT. Will this hurt me? I sent the ACT score accidentally to Cal Poly SLO. I didn't know it was free :(

What will this do to me? I didn't enter the ACT scores when I applied.

Just make sure they know you want the SAT scores used.

Most likely outcome, you will be treated exactly as if you'd left it off. Worst case scenario (extremely unlikely but possible) is they are down to picking between you and a kid with virtually identical appeal to them, but who has a better act or didnt submit one and *might* get passed over in favour of them).

The colleges usually look at the best score that you got. There is actually a formula that you can calculate from ACT to SAT and vice versa. Because you did poorly on the ACT, they will probably accept you based on your SAT. Don't fret, but remember to send your SAT to Cal Poly SLO too!

Well it's not great, but they see it now. Best to send in your SAT scores too. Also, make your application as grand as possible.
