It is essentially an essay. You are given a packet of 14 documents which are usually about a paragraph long but can be pictures, graphs or statistics. You are also given a question, based on the wording of the question you have to decide which of the three types of DBQ's you will have to write. Then you must write your essay after analyzing every document and figuring out which ones fit together. You have to incorporate all the documents into your analysis for full points. If you are taking an AP course this year your teacher will fully explain this to you and prepare you for the DBQ on the AP test. Remember to stay calm and analyze everything before you start writing.
