My average for school is a 89, but I understand all of the material, and I don't even have to study to get high scores on tests(95+). However, im in seventh grade, and I'm in a Superintendents School, and i really want to get in to Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Tech, or Staten Island Tech. What should I do? Whats the score that I need on the SHSAT to get into these schools? Will my seventh grade average affect the chance that I have of getting in?

yhu should really start studying now .

the test is mostly about integrated algebra ( Algebra 1 ) .

7th graders will not be taught integrated algebra until the beginning of 8th .

based on the way yhu've placed yhur sentences, i assume that yhu will do well in the reading section, so dont stress .

yhu will need a 95 + raw score to get into stuy in yhur shsat practice tests .

a 75 + raw score for bktech & SI Tech .

[ these are scores that will make sure yhu get in, & not the requirements. ]

the score curves . yhu can get 50/50 on one section & get 25/50 on the other & get into stuy . however, if yhu get 40/50 on one section & 40/50 on the other, yhu might not .

i recommend the shsat practice prep school on 19th avenue & 77th street, brooklyn, newyork 11204 & its called pegasus . its $50 a day, but the majority of the students have passed the shsat . yhu will be placed in the class depending on yhur intelligence . they're very honest, & sometimes hurt yhur feelings . if yhu get good grades there, then yhu will be treated like a king .
