You won't get credits for both - it's the same class. You will get the 3 credits for US Government and thats it (assuming you pass and/or the college accepts AP tests).

Usually the publications don't transfer immediately, and yeah, sometimes they overlap or do not depend or something. It is a gorgeous intricate thing, and routinely the universities do not even have all of the translations on their websites. You just have got to work it out while you get there, which is a discomfort in the but seeing that by the point you get in to peer a counselor, the semester is well underway and you are already caught with the lessons you may have chosen, whether or not they are ones you should be in or no longer. (in the event you cannot inform, I've had plenty of crisis with this). Other sticky things can occur too. For illustration, I passed AP Gov. And went to a university that didn't depend that as pleasurable the Gov requirement. It used to be in view that at my tuition, the requirement mandates that the course duvet state government, which the AP course did not. They nonetheless gave me general ed models for it, however I had to take another gov class. Sincerely, it can be a multitude, however excellent for you that you've got so many. I took way fewer than that, nevertheless it nonetheless gave me a gigantic boost. I'm graduating this fall, after only 2.5 years. Excellent luck!

Honestly, since you're already taking the college class, assuming that you pass the class, I wouldn't worry about the AP test. Of course you should do research on that college to see that they do accept college credits. I'm taking an online Psychology college class, but no the AP exam.
