GRE Math Story Problem?

Question

A group can charter a particular aircraft at a fixed total cost. If 36 people charter the aircraft rather than 40 people, then the cost per person is greater by $12.

a) What is the fixed total cost to charter the aircraft?
b) What is the cost per person if 40 people charter the aircraft?

40c = 36 (c + 12)



40c = 36c + 432



4c = 432



c=108



the original cost with 40 people is 108 per person. with 36 people, it would be 120 per person.

the fixed cost of the whole thing is 4320.

I spent somewhat some time analyzing for the mathematics. I stored getting approximately 500 on the prepare exams, yet whilst i certainly took the try I have been given a 670! So i could say, learn hard and that i think of you would be ok.
