My teacher told us that it's ok to write the answers in a list/with bullet points. That's how we've written all our essays this year, and he's been an AP teacher for about 30 years.

I am going to take it but an AP book I bought recommend essay format (although thesis statements are not always necessary). If you are running out of time, answer the remaining questions in outline form. It will not be as clear, but at least all your points & examples are included.

Somewhat like an essay. But you don't need topic sentences or anything other than to answer the question.
