Is 1290 a good SAT score?

The SATs are out of 2400, which makes 1290 not a very good score. 1290 out of 2400 is about a 54%. I would recommend retaking it as you can retake it as many times as you want and only your highest grade will be seen by colleges. If you don't want to or can't afford to take the test again, you should look into colleges that accept lower SAT scores or don't focus as heavily on test scores.

Not exactly. But try practicing more English based SAT questions. Also, I'm sure colleges would cut you some slack since English isn't your native language. Then again, that would also depend on how long you've been in the United States. because the longer you're here, the more they expect from you.

no it's not good. How did you do for each section? You probably wouldn't be able to get into many, if any, colleges in the U.S. But I'm sure you'll do a lot better next time, especially since you're still studying.

There is no passing score.

It's not bad for a first time, many did worse than 1290 on their first time.

You might do better on the second time
