A Question About The IB Program?

I am in grade 8 and i applied for pre IB. i just wanted to know what the test will be like and what they'll give to you so that i know what to expect .

OH YAY! IB PROGRAM IS FUN!!! >_<



Which test are you talking about? Each test is a little different. I started the IB program in 9th grade and I dropped out after I finished my 10th grade year (not because I couldn't do it, because my college major is more technological. I still do IB certificate in Language Arts and a few more... The requirements are the same for each topic).



The tests I believe are... 4 hours long? Each subject includes different requirements. For example, for Language Arts requires you take the test, submit 2 essays to them, give a presentation, etc.



The test is NOT one really long test, like the SAT. It is broken up, like AP testing. Different subjects on different days. So I guess the IB tests are sort of like... really hardcore AP tests that you have to spend 1-2 years preparing for... I'm not sure how to explain it. you know what. all i can really tell you that will help you out is to go talk to the IB counselor at the school you applied to. He/she will give u all the info u need. and you dont take ur tests till ur junior and senior year, so i wouldnt start worrying about tests yet, if i were you id start worrying about passing ur freshman year in pre ib with flying colors and seeing if its right for you.
