look both of the exams have different parameters to check..

JEE test for your techincal skills and SAT tests your ability and aptitude..

so if you think you have a brilliant a technical knowledge and you think you can crack IIT JEE, den go for it or else try SAT..

to be very honest, IIT JEE is very tough because the seats available and the number of students applying..

i would suggest you go for a mock test for both and decide for yourself..

going abroad is not that easy as a task if you are targeting for a graduate school.. (SAT is tougher than GRE)..

other then IITs some NITs are also very good, and if you are targeting CSE then IIITs are also very good.

you have to do a lot of homework before applying any of the exam..

choose a branch you want to go for, see colleges in India according to your ability and also the ones that you can get in US or whatever country you are targeting.. then choose between the two..

it will be a very time consuming process..

take help of some career counselor...
