I'm very worried that I might be retarded. Or, like one of those people that completely fail at one thing but excel in another. I don't know. But its bothering me!

So here's the thing: I did'nt study, or did any homework for one of my first unit tests for REGULARS government. I failed it.. but when the midterm came along, I did all the homework, studied, and did the study guide AND STILL FAILED. I had a study group and everything! So, the next test came along, and I did the same thing, studying harder, doing the homework, got a 60%.. not as bad as the complete F, but I still consider this a fail :[

what's wrong with me? this doesn't happen with other classes.. I read the government book.. I think I might be dumb.. This makes me very scared for college, I'm currently a senior.

I don't think that you are dumb, I just think that you are not naturally talented in the Government area. Same thing happened to me in another subject, and it is best to go and ask the teacher what you are doing wrong and for some tips. For instance, I am not good in science, anything science. I went, talked to the teacher, got some very helpful tips, and I have an A- in science and got an award for my achievements.

some every person is born with extra intelligence then others. As time is going on, pupils locate it harder to maintain up their study. some fall out, and fail. There are different issues to do in existence. The accountability of a solid guidance could be an assume element, a burden to you that could you may't be rid of. think of, that's perplexing artwork.

i think what you need is studying but not using memorization.Actually it depends on the test. If it's identification, you can memorize all you want but if it's something like multiple choice and stuff, you can just read and try to understand. or you can approach the teacher for tips. I experienced getting a lot of low grades when i didn't know how to answer the essay of my teacher then i asked him how to answer his type of exams then when the computing is finished, straight A- for the year in his subject.

I feel for you! I'm not at all talented in anything math/science related, even if i study very hard. But the upside is if u ask your teachers for help, and if your teachers see that you're really trying, they may go easier on you in grading your tests.
