I'm sorry but 'tips and tricks' are what scammers use to lure people into paying big money for prep that isnt actually useful.

quote from the link below, in the 'what to avoid' section

"Places that put a heavy emphasis on ‘tips and tricks’. There certainly are tips and tricks to test prep, but a place that is pushing that element is essentially saying to you “I can’t help your kid learn much about how to actually do the problems, but I can say some cool-sounding things that will falsely inflate their confidence!”."

your first try cant hurt you, so study as well as you can and do your best. if you decide to retake, plan ahead and make a realistic choice about whether to selfprep. take a class or get a tutor.

Okay, I did fantastic on my ACT but terrible on the SAT, I got an 1800 I think, so I can tell you what I regretted not doing. I bought an SAT study book and never opened it, that was a huge mistake. Arrive early, bring your ID, it is a huge damper if you get there and realize you don't have it. Go through and answer the questions you know first while making a not on the questions you didn't answer and go back and do those second.

Just go through thoroughly and answer if not give a pause to that and move on to the next...fnally take time to think off and finish it off
